A doctors’ group plans to turn a former residential block near Avera McKennan Hospital into a series of medical and business offices.
Sioux Falls Surgical Physicians is beginning to develop the block of land bounded by 18th and 19th streets and by Sixth and Seventh avenues.

A labor organization plans to build a center in Sioux Falls to help train area workers in carpentry-related crafts.
The group also plans to step up local efforts to organize the bustling Sioux Falls area’s largely non-union construction work force.

George Widman makes outdoor furnishings from recycled plastic for gun clubs around the country.

Actually, Widman’s primary business has been making interior signs. He owns and operates Advance Signs & Engraving Inc. He gets a big share of his sign business submitting bids to general contractors.
