2004 Yorkville Cellars Cabernet Franc • $20-$23
The 2004 Yorkville Cellars Cabernet Franc is light and aromatic, with oak, herbs, brown sugar, licorice, violets and black tea notes on the nose. Red cherry and blueberry fruit lead to a clean, bright finish. This wine would be excellent with pork chops or lamb kabobs. The winery was established in 1988 by Edward and Deborah Wallo and is in Mendocino County, 100 miles north of the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge. Yorkville Vineyards & Cellars has been certified organic as they do not use pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. It is a small winery that produces between 500 and 1,000 cases of each of its nine wines. Try some. You will enjoy it! – Sue Nothdurft, Villa Wines and Liquor |
