Places to be in January
Jan. 19 & 24 The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra presents two upcoming concerts at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science. At 8 p.m. Jan. 19, Young Concert Artist award winner Naoko Takada performs “Marimba Concerto” with the orchestra in the Great Hall. Tickets cost $10 to $45. Jan. 25 The Joe Lovano Quartet will perform at 8 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Orpheum Theater. The New York Times has called saxophonist Joe Lovano “one of the greatest musicians in jazz history.” Tickets cost $23 or $36.
