The Big Read Smokin’ Kick Off featuring live music by the Smoke & Mirrors band is from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the McKennan Park band shell. Ray Bradbury’s classic “Fahrenheit 451” is the selected text for The Big Read 2008 in South Dakota, and the first 100 to attend the concert will receive copies of the 1953 sci-fi book.
