Sanford Health is now taking applications for a new venture, Sanford Children’s Clinics, that will lead to the construction and development of five new  clinics to be placed in communities throughout North America within the next 10 years.

The proposed clinics will serve areas with a specific need for pediatric care.

A request for proposals has been designed to assist organizations in describing their need for pediatric services and plans for the involvement of their communities in this project.

The proposals should highlight a community’s ability to partner in the expansion of pediatric resources and can be submitted either by a single organization or with others within a community. Along with brief background information, community leaders will be asked to complete the proposal narrative and answer specific questions about their communities.

Areas of emphasis will include definitions of the existing health care environment, local professional resources and potential for collaboration in site and service development.

Each clinic will provide general care for the area immediately surrounding the clinic, however, specialty pediatric services may be provided should there be a demonstrated need for such services not provided in the area.

Each of these facilities will have access to administrative and clinical resources through Sanford Children’s Hospital.
Future research initiatives in children’s health will be incorporated into each clinical site via the Sanford Pediatric Research Institute. Sanford Children’s Clinics will play an integral role in these initiatives as determined by the ongoing development of research activities at Sanford Health.

The request for proposal is available at www.sanfordchildrens.org/RFP. To learn more, visit www.sanfordhealth.org or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

The deadline for proposals  is July 31.
