Four women were honored as Women of Excellence at the Sales and Marketing Executives Inc. Women in Business event.
The following winners were recognized for their dedication to the community, service to others and commitment to helping women achieve their goals:
• Betty Durfee, Women Mentoring Women Award. Durfee is Goodwill’s vice president of development for South Dakota.
• The Rev. Andrea DeGroot-Nesdahl, Women Breaking Barriers. In 1995, she was elected bishop of the South Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
• Megan Maddox, Young Women of Excellence. Maddox is a medications safety officer for the pharmacy department at Sanford USD Medical Center.
• Shirley Norberg Hoehl, Women Working Through the Decades. In 1971, she was the first Bible study fellowship leader in South Dakota. Since 1990, Norberg Hoehl has produced a local television ministry on KSCB-TV. |
